The Burberry Ankara Dress at Holt Renfrew

January 5, 2012

So I decided to battle out the stuffy pretentiousness that is Holt Renfrew and unfortunately so much of the fashion world during the holidays to look at some fine tailoring and interesting designs. Just as I got to the top of the escalator on the clothing floor, guess what was staring back at me, smack in the middle of the display? The ankara Burberry dress I posted about in June. It was weird to feel like I couldn’t afford my own culture. The fabric, I thought was cotton from the picture, but instead was a light and slightly sheer charmeuse type fabric. I guess they couldn’t go too authentic. I didn’t even look at the price. Probably a g. My bf just said “I’ve been witness to the ridiculous prices. There are cars in there”. Moments like these make me happy to sew.
